The Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today demanded inclusion of Jammu city in the list of smart cities announced by the Central Government recently.
The movement has alleged that the present PDP-BJP government is following discriminatory policies towards the region like previous governments, who denied Jammu its share.
Activists, led by JWAM president Sunil Dimple, today held a protest against the BJP-PDP coalition government in J&K and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for following anti-people policies and alleged that most of the promises remained unfulfilled.
“Where is the notification for AIIMS. People on border are dying, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to give befitting reply to Pakistan on the border. Resentment against the government is growing among the people,” said Sunil Dimple.
Dimple demanded that Home Minister Rajnath Singh should take action against the separatist leaders who were making provocative statements. “The BJP-PDP government has no agenda to deal with the complex problems faced by people of the state and they are befooling the masses, especially the people in the Jammu region, who voted for the party,” Dimple said.
He demanded that the Home Minister should visit areas along the LoC in Poonch and Rajouri district, which faced maximum brunt of firing from Pakistan.
